2. Test And Kelly Kelly

Andrew ‘Test’ Martin and Kelly Kelly became romantically entangled when working for WWE that would lead to a two-year relationship. Test helped Kelly acclimate to WWE, with her having no experience in the wrestling business prior to be being signed.

In 2007 Test was suspended for a wellness violation for 30 days. That same week it was mutually agreed by Test and WWE they should go their separate ways, with Test struggling with a serious addiction to prescription pain medication. It was a similar situation to Kurt Angle the year prior who quit/was asked to leave after becoming addicted to pain medication.

It left Kelly on the active roster and Test looking for work elsewhere on the independents and in TNA. The time spent away from each other became too much, with them splitting just before Test’s unfortunate passing in 2009 when his demons got the best of him, dying by an accidental overdose of oxycodone at the shockingly young age of 33.

Kelly Kelly has revealed they almost got back together prior to his untimely death:

“I saw him up until the week before and yeah it was rough. He was healthy, he was doing better. We were talking about the future and I was like, ‘You know we’ll see what happens down down the line’, and I was like, ‘I’ll always love you, I’ll always love you’. I was like, ‘I still don’t know what I want to do, you need to work on yourself, I need to grow up a little more, but you never know, down the line’.”

Kelly too left the promotion years later in 2012, having accomplished everything she could there and exceeding everyone’s expectations of her just being another model.
