10 Times WWE Got "The Guy" Wrong

Jack Swagger drew tentative comparisons to Brock Lesnar when he first came onto our screens in 2008 - in the sense that he was blonde, physically imposing, and had an impressive background in amateur wrestling.

Unfortunately, that's where the similarities ended. Swagger always seemed a bit half-formed, as though he could have done with a couple more years in the developmental ranks to really flesh out his ring and mic work before stepping up to the main roster.

Yet no sooner had he debuted was he being pushed as one of the company's next big stars, sealing his first World Heavyweight Championship win abruptly just a couple of days after winning Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI.

It felt wrong - too rushed - and he never really did anything to change that perception.
