10 Times WWE Got Their Own BAD Ideas WRONG

1. Booker T Doesn't Overcome Racism?!

Using racism to build towards a WrestleMania match was an abhorrent call, but it happened. In 2003, Triple H started talking about how "people like you" (aimed at 'Mania foe Booker T) didn't belong on top of the card or in possession of the World Title. The insinuation was clear: WWE wanted to rally support behind Booker.

There were ways to do that without trying to use his skin colour.

Booker T has always been an engaging character. WWE didn't need to have Hunter get racist, because fans would've been right there with Book heading into the biggest show of the year. It was obvious he deserved a run on top; that was enough of a dangling carrot. Nah, creative had to go down the racism route instead. Yuck.

Then, they had the cheek to let Booker come up short. He failed to overcome the unnecessary race-baiting, and Trips remained champ even though everyone was sick and tired of his heel persona being on top by the spring of '03. What an appalling and depressing commentary on wrestling booking this was.
