5. LA Knight Almost Becomes A Manager Because He's "Too Old"
Arguably the most over performer on the roster at this current moment in time very nearly found himself stuck in a rather disappointing role due to his age, too.
After making the jump up from NXT to the main roster, the 'Megastar' once known as LA Knight bafflingly ended up being repackaged as Maximum Male Models manager Max Dupri.
The one-time Million Dollar Champion had turned a few heads during his first few dark matches, but the second his age came up in conversation, Vince McMahon soon decided he was likely more suited to being a manager rather than a wrestler.
Unsurprisingly, Knight gave the entire thing a big ol' "Nah Nah!", but reluctantly carried on until Triple H eventually found himself in control of creative in the summer of 2022.
'The Game' clearly agreed that reverting the star back to his Knight persona was the best call for all involved, and it wasn't too long before the 40-year-old was back to his trash-talking, "YEAH!"-spouting ways of old.
