10 Times WWE Posters Totally Lied To You

7. Elimination Chamber 2012 (Sheamus)

In early-2012, Sheamus won the Royal Rumble match. As a result, the big Irishman was guaranteed a shot at either the WWE or World Heavyweight Titles come WrestleMania. There was only one problem, he wasn't advertised for the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View the following month. Nonetheless, he adorned the poster promoting the show. Admittedly, Sheamus did make an unscheduled appearance at Elimination Chamber. After Daniel Bryan had defended his World Heavyweight Title in a Chamber bout, he was attacked by Sheamus. This indicated that the latter was planning to challenge Bryan at WrestleMania for his gold. On the poster however, Sheamus is clearly shown posing in front of the chains of the Elimination Chamber. Worse yet, the poster was released in late-2011, before the man had even won the Rumble. WWE officials must have known their plans by then, yet they had the poster made up anyway. That's pretty confusing, and tricked fans into thinking Sheamus would be involved in a Chamber match.
