10 Times WWE Repeated History

1. Cometh The Hour, Cometh The Man

Blood in WWE has always been better when it's been outlawed. That's not to say that the current policy of permitting Brock Lesnar to scoop open people's brains is better than the odd use of blade, but red's always equalled the most green when it shouldn't have been seen.

This was the case in both 1997 and 2018 as two performers ironically went from red to white hot thanks to the fire in their eyes and a little bit of claret.

As Stone Cold Steve Austin refused to quit in Bret Hart's Sharpshooter at WrestleMania 13, his crimson mask told a story just as captivating as the arch of his back or committed call from the commentators. He was an unapologetic piece of sh*t, but he became property of the people in that very moment. As did Lynch, literally, when she basked in the afterglow of an attack on Ronda Rousey and a stiff punch in the face from Nia Jax.

In both cases, the two were going to have to face injury layoffs that could have impacted lesser pushes. But these were not those wrestlers, nor those pushes. WrestleMania main events were waiting - and they'd literally spilled blood to make it happen.
