10 Times WWE Screwed Up With Seth Rollins
5. A Champion's Pedigree
Seth Rollins's momentum was running high after a stunning WWE Championship win at WrestleMania 31, but soon afterwards, an unfortunate edict came down from the office - he could no longer use his "Curb Stomp" finishing move. A unique maneuver, WWE worried that the simulated head trauma caused by the move would draw negative coverage in light of concussion lawsuits pending against the company.
The solution would have been to give Rollins a new, even better finishing move that would add to his aura as world champion. Instead, the company decided to have him use the Pedigree, the maneuver that his mentor, Triple H, had used for decades. Not only did this immediately associate Rollins with HHH, but it made him look like "The Game's" inferior - something that no doubt pleased Triple H as he watched his move beat so many other stars.
Ultimately, it played into a feud between the two, but that was literally years later - and as Rollins was a babyface by then, it didn't really help the dynamic that much. The final result was that Rollins got stuck using someone else's move for a really long time.
