10 Times WWE Stars Made A Mockery Of Their Own Angles

Naomi deserves a retrospective Academy Award for pretending that her WrestleMania 34 pre-show Battle Royal win meant anything. It didn't, and even WWE's own trophy looked more like an elaborately-designed novelty birthday cake than a prize worthy of 'Mania.

The company then spent weeks, if not months, talking about the importance of the win and claiming that Naomi would get a title shot for coming up trumps. Flash forward to promotions for the all-female Evolution pay-per-view in October 2018 though and 'Mania's winner was asking some pressing questions.

Naomi tweeted to ask if she would receive two title opportunities for winning another Battle Royal at Evolution. She also pointed out that WWE had never actually shipped the WrestleMania cup to her in the first place. Oh dear.

She effectively told the world that the 'Mania match meant nothing. You knew that anyway.
