10 Times WWE Stars Went Corporate

4. Seth Rollins Cashes In With The Authority In 2014

The "you sold out" chants have greeted Seth Rollins everywhere he's been since he turned his back on his Shield buddies Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose on June 2, 2014. Rollins' reply to the fans has been to tell them that he didn't sell out at all. Instead, he said, he "cashed in" by aligning himself with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and The Authority. Rollins is a shining star in WWE that has the faith in management as evidenced by the fact that he's also the Money in the Bank briefcase holder. He won that thanks to the help of Kane, who did all he could to prevent Dean Ambrose from winning it. That's the kind of cheap win fans expect from a heel and that's what Rollins did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWLU0MWMR-w The heel, corporate version of Rollins is still pretty new since it's only been three months, but he's likely going to have a lot of success in this role. Whether he goes on to become WWE Champion at some point in the next year we don't know yet. Based on talent, he's definitely good enough. It's just a matter of finding the right story for him. Thanks to The Authority storyline, Rollins is in an impressive position in WWE right now. It's definitely not a bad place. In fact, some might say it's best for business.
