10 Times WWE Stopped Promoting Its Own Products

8. Raw Energy Fuel Cell

Remember slamming down a can of WWE Raw Attitude Energy Drink? If not, you're not alone. If so, it's a true blessing you are still here today and reading this list.

In the early 2000s, WWE wanted in on the booming energy drink market in the worst of ways. It tried to team up with Hansen's by releasing the X-Pac influenced X-Fuel Energy Drink. For a while, the DX member was seen cracking open a can of his own green battery acid on the way down the ramp, and he became the poster boy for several of Hansen's contests. However, it wasn't enough to keep the beverage around.

WWE also tried to work with Stacker, but aside from ad revenue, not much came from the synergy. When Socko Energy knocked on the door, on the other hand, WWE went all in, producing not only the Raw Attitude beverage but also a line of other flavors represented by its performers. (Fun fact: Eric Bischoff brought Socko Energy to WWE, not Mick Foley.)

Several years of pushing energy drink after energy drink, WWE abruptly forfeited the venture. Nowadays, there's hardly a mention of anything beyond Diet Mountain Dew, unless you count Lana's Bang Energy Drink promos. Perhaps the backlash Lana received was fueled by a little bit of jealousy. It was most likely greed, though.
