10 Times WWE SummerSlam Main Event Was Better Than WrestleMania Main Event

The Undertaker's back and this time there is no contest as to which of his matches were better - and it's sure as hell not his slow, plodding affair with Sycho Sid in the main event of WrestleMania 13.

It seems unfair to rag on this match too much considering it was cobbled together last minute after Shawn Michaels "lost his smile", but there is very little to enjoy at 'Mania 13. Fast forward four months and, thankfully, things were looking much better.

This time 'Taker's opponent was Bret Hart, who is only better than Sid by approximately six million percent. Also in the mix was Shawn Michaels, who'd not only found his smile but also a black and white top as he was serving as the match's referee.

It was Michaels who would play a key role in the match's finish, inadvertently handing the WWF Title to his Canadian nemesis when a wayward chair shot struck the Deadman.

SummerSlam 1997's main event was a great match that many people say helped kickstart the Attitude Era. As for 'Taker vs. Sid, all that started was thousands of people's naptimes.
