10 Times WWE SummerSlam Main Event Was Better Than WrestleMania Main Event

WrestleMania XXV is remembered mostly for one match, and that match was not the main event. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels had what many still believe to be the best match in WWE history; good news for everyone watching at home, bad news for Triple H and Randy Orton.

The former Evolution buddies just couldn't live up to the standards of 'Taker vs. Michaels and WrestleMania 25 ended not with a bang, but with a flat, uninspired WWE title retention by the Game.

Elsewhere on the 'Mania 25 card, Jeff Hardy lost to his brother in a match nobody liked, and CM Punk won his second Money in the Bank briefcase. Just a few months later, these two men would be closing out SummerSlam.

The two waged war in a TLC match for Hardy's World Heavyweight Championship, capping off the best feud of the year in spectacular style. Punk winning the belt was a sign that WWE had a bright future with this young man at the helm... until Undertaker turned up to start their terrible title programme.

Can't have everything, I guess.
