10 Times WWE Superstars Fought With Fans

10. The Big Show

Apologies for the grainy image, but that is a screenshot of the footage that caught Paul Wight, or The Giant as he was known as back then, flooring a pesky fan. What happens when you poke a bear with a stick? You see your jaw broken in many places. Show was in a hotel bar after a WCW event at the Nassau Coliseum when a fan, 30-year-old Robert Sawyer - presumably tanked on on booze - thought it was a good idea to provoke the seven-footer with verbal jibes. Show, in his own words, told of how he politely asked the fan to stop but Sawyer was having non of it, he continued to get up in The Giant's grill. Somewhat inexplicably, 6 ft 6 in Robert pushed Show in front of a crowd of roughly 100 people, before the 500-pounder floored him with one hefty shot to the face; a shot that he claimed was in self defence. Ah, the origin of the Knockout Punch... The shot landed the then future WWE star in Nassau criminal court over a year later on charges of third degree assault. However, the judge found him not guilty.
