10 Times WWE Threw Money Down The Drain
7. Badly Booking Brock
Brock Lesnar's first year back with WWE was marred by a pair of questionable losses, but WWE managed to rebuild "The Beast" when he broke The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania streak. After that, a total domination of John Cena en route to a WWE World Championship win made Lesnar the top star in the company.
The plan all along was for Lesnar to lose to Roman Reigns, making Reigns the man who beat the unbeatable and WWE's new hero. Unfortunately, fans rejected Roman Reigns to point where the company couldn't risk having him beat Brock for the title at WrestleMania 31. Instead of letting Brock retain, Seth Rollins was chosen to be the new champion. He cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase during the WrestleMania match, pinning Reigns and winning the belt.
Brock was never beaten. Despite the fact that Rollins was champion, he still didn't look like the best wrestler in the company. When Brock eventually did get a rematch for the title, he dominated Rollins until The Undertaker interfered and the match was stopped. Since then, "The Beast" hasn't gotten a shot at the belt.
Today, Lesnar still has "transferred" the heat he got from beating The Undertaker, but being in non-title matches and midcard bouts has made a lot of it fizzle away. Brock looks bad, the titles look bad, and ultimately, nobody benefited from the streak ending.
