After Seth Rollins hurt his knee and was forced to relinquish the WWE World Championship, the company went all the way with Roman Reigns's push. Between Survivor Series and WrestleMania, he became a three-time champion, and he was booked as bulletproof. All that did was make fans hate him more.

Reigns got into a feud with fan favorite AJ Styles, leading to two great matches between the two men. After Reigns's second victory - at Extreme Rules 2016 - fans were angry, but they immediately perked up when Rollins came out, returning from more than six months on the shelf. When he attacked the WWE World Champion, fans couldn't have been happier.

The stage was set for a perfect double-turn - Rollins, who had valiantly battled back from injury to reclaim his title, could have been the face, while Reigns, whom the fans already hated, could be the heel. Instead, WWE remained so stubbornly invested in making Reigns a popular babyface that the very next evening on Raw, Rollins came out and cut a promo heeling on the crowd that loved him. The dynamic was all screwed up, and the money feud was ruined.

It's not often a great solution to a problem falls into someone's lap, but when it does, it should really be snatched up immediately.
