After having to sit through what was shaping up to be the longest PLE in company history, it's safe to say that fans were already utterly exhausted at the idea of having to take in one more contest by the time the historic first-ever all-women's 'Mania main event got underway.

But the brilliant stars involved all soon found a way to reignite a shattered MetLife Stadium, with Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair's long-running saga finally coming to a dramatic end on the Grandest Stage.

However, rather than ending the last one-night WrestleMania on one hell of a high, one particularly unfortunate botch left one of the biggest matches in company history feeling a little bit anti-climactic when all was said and done.

With Lynch reversing a Piper's Pit into a pinning attempt, referee Rod Zapata proceeded to count the three despite Rousey clearly getting her shoulders off the mat for a moment.

The Man coming out on top felt like a foregone conclusion, of course. But the nature of the fumbled finish has resulted in WWE largely no-selling the controversial closing stretch in the years since, with Zapata also reportedly being fined for not calling the action as a shoot and beginning his count before Ronda was well and truly pinned to the canvas.
