10 Times WWE Tried To Fix Something That Wasn't Broken

7. Lance Storm

Lance Storm is what is known as a wrestler's wrestler, in that he is appreciated by his fellow professionals and not so much by those booking the show (nor, in some cases, by the fans).

And that was never more apparent than when the former ECW star - at the time, one of the industry's most revered technicians - made his way to WWE in the early 2000s.

There were perhaps limitations that would have always prevented Storm from becoming a major player in Vince McMahon's land of the giants, but the company actively encouraged its audience to chant "boring" at him.

This would have been permissible for a young star in need of something that fans could latch onto, but Storm had shown from his time in WCW that he was a legitimate mid-card wrestler. There was simply no need to tweak things so dramatically.
