10 Times WWE Was Categorically Worse Than It Is Right Now

1. The Raw Guest Hosts: 2009-2010

The worst.

Kicked off by Donald Trump after he purchased Raw for a week just to sell back to Vince McMahon in one of the worst mini-angles of the last decade, WWE's Guest Host era of Monday Night Raw between 2009 and 2010 was the very worst of the company's desperate bid to link arms with the great and good of Hollywood at the expense of the end product itself.

Segments with brainless guests represented the worst of the creative direction of the time, in which the worst of the Divas division were ordinarily forced to smile a nod whilst the worst dialogue pimped the worst products to the worst corners of the 'audience' - advertisers.

Raw's valuable airtime was chewed up by plugs and sales pitches, the worst of them barely remembering to tie their sh*t into WWE's sh*t.

Bob Barker's 'Price Is Right' segment is fondly remembered, because it was just about the only fond moment buried in a year's worth of utter tripe. Will Forte and Kristen Wiig flogging Saturday Night Live dead horse 'Macgruber' was the worst. Cheech and Chong going through the motions 30 years after their cinematic debut was the worst. Mike Tyson's lame retread of his own incredible original 1998 angle was the worst. Ozzy and Sharon Osborne shambling their way around Raw with no rhyme or reason was the worst. Dennis Miller's Slammy Award material being somehow less authentic than the plastic trophies themselves was the worst. Jeremy Piven rebranding WWE's second biggest pay-per-view as 'SummerFest' was the actual f*cking worst.
