10 Times WWE Wasted Female Talent
9. Gail Kim
When a superstar voluntarily eliminates themselves from an over the top rope Battle Royal just to see if anyone backstage would notice, you know you have an unhappy talent on your hands. That's exactly what Gail Kim did in 2011 after becoming disillusioned with the role of women in WWE.
Kim had two stints in the company, first debuting on the main roster in 2004. Things got off to a great start when she won the Women's Championship in her debut match. Sadly, it was all downhill from there.
A month later, Kim lost her championship and was quietly released a year and a half later. During her time away, she became an integral part of TNA's Knockout division and one of the most popular female competitors in the world.
When she returned in 2008, Kim was impressed by the new crop of talent. Beth Phoenix, Melina, and Natayla were all progressing before the emergence of new stars like AJ Lee and Eve Torres. Despite the undeniable talent on offer, WWE were still more than content to limit the division to filler matches and rudimentary storylines.
Kim left the WWE once more in 2011, and vowed never to return.
