10 Times WWE Went Too Far With Brock Lesnar

7. Universal Champion AGAIN. Braun Strowman Destroyed AGAIN.

Brock Lesnar's Universal Title defence against Braun Strowman at No Mercy 2017 performed so terribly as a main event that most fans couldn't fathom what they'd just seen. Derailing one of the best pushes of the decade (presumably with permission from horrifically slapdash booking) Lesnar wasn't remotely a*sed about getting the 'Monster Among Men' over and it showed.

Strowman was reduced to a state of ordinary within minutes - nine of them in fact. That's how long it took for one of the decade's biggest breakout stars and (then) heavily protected performers to succumb to a single F5 after a selection of the usual of the usual.

Worse was to come - after WWE had spent a year forcing fans to forget all about it, they were suddenly reminded when Roman Reigns had to vacate the Universal Championship. Following a disappointing Hell In A Cell clash between Strowman and 'The Big Dog' weeks earlier that had been interrupted by 'The Beast' the two were awkwardly forced into a Crown Jewel 2018 clash that went all of 3:00 and generated the same outcome.

There can be fewer feuds featuring big b*stard behemoths to have left Vince McMahon feeling quite so underwhelmed - it's little wonder he's still not pushed Strowman since.
