10 Times WWE Were Obsessed With Strange Things
3. Buttcheeks
Along with "thrusting," another way you wouldn't lure someone into watching wrestling would be to pinpoint the times cameras zoomed in on someone's butt cheeks, especially when another performer's face was uncomfortably close to them. Sadly, if you watch WWE long enough, you'll come across the many booty-related hijinks that made a crazed billionaire cackle backstage for decades.
Long before The New Day had their box of cereal, numerous heavier wrestlers were assigned unflattering ring gear and gimmicks that were largely, "Look how big my ass is!"
One of the most notable cases was during Rikishi's Tool Cool phase, in which fans witnessed the heavyset Samoan sport a thong and twerk for audiences every week. Not only did he jiggle his jelly, but he was also given The Stink Face as his finishing maneuver. For those unfamiliar (you lucky bastards), it was basically what it sounded like.
Butt jokes weren't limited to the big boys, however, as the WWE chairman also joined in on the fun during the 'Kiss My Ass Club' era, which was a televised form of hazing more or less.
The KMAC consisted of lackeys forcing people McMahon didn't like to shove their faces between his immaculate cheeks. You can tell who exactly thought it was a great idea simply by looking at the boss' cheese-grin during each instance.
In addition to pitching creative concepts in dog form, potential WWE writers need to understand the boss' level of humor. This. This is that level.
