10 Times WWE Wrestlers Portrayed Other Wrestlers

1. Shawn Michaels As Hulk Hogan

He may not have been an active part of DX for their Nation parody but Shawn Michaels would get his own chance to dress up and ridicule an opponent. Since his unexpected return to WWE, he’d been working as a babyface but that was cast aside for his 2005 programme with Hulk Hogan. Apparently Hogan didn’t want a face vs. face battle splitting the crowd reaction. Perhaps he was wary of pushing his luck after his incredible reception at WrestleMania against The Rock.

This brief heel turn did lead to a career best promo, Shawn perfectly playing the irrepressible d*ckhead in Montreal.

It also saw Michaels dressing up in shades, Hulkamania t-shirt and a bald cap to spoof Hogan’s recent appearance on Larry King. Shawn looks to be having a ball hamming it up as ‘The Hulkster,’ posing, gesticulating wildly and cramming in a “brother” every third word. He even throws in digs at Hulk’s spine problems and reputation for backstage politicking.

History doesn’t record if any wasted superstars caught sight of ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ dressed up and thought poor old Shawn had been lumbered with the corny old, “Hulk Hogan” gimmick full time.
