10 Times You SERIOUSLY Should Have Asked WWE For Refunds

2. In Your House: D-Generation X

No No No
WWE Network

This was sinfully boring and it followed the most controversial series of events in company history. It was named after and poorly performed by the nascent D-Generation X faction, and was a nasty insult spewed mere weeks after the greatest insult of all.

The Triple H Vs. Sgt. Slaughter Boot Camp Match might have been funny. The Commissioner, the man employed to enforce the rules, forgot them - and he fell on his a*se! - but it lasted, in a grim premonition of Triple H's subsequent WrestleMania career, a good 15 minutes longer than was necessary. The main event saw Michaels either rib or bury (it was 1997, so likely the latter) Ken Shamrock by fooling him into audibly calling spots in a match well below the level of which the Heartbreak Kid was capable. Consider it the dying embers of his political assassin era.

The undercard, and there's no other word, was sh*t.

Jeff Jarrett Vs. The Undertaker was sh*t. The Legion of Doom Vs. The New Age Outlaws was sh*t. Los Boricuas Vs. DOA was sh*t.

It was a one match show, and that one match was the abbreviated, worst match in the PPV series between Steve Austin and The Rock. It was more angle than match, so effectively this was a no-match show.
