10 TNA Stars That Would Take WWE By Storm

2. Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle made his name in the WWE, but to TNA fans, he is seen as the last great €˜elder statesman€™ left in the company. The man is as over in TNA as Jesus is on a Sunday and his popularity is only increasing. With the departure of Sting and the lack of Jeff Jarrett on the roster, there is nobody else left that has Angle€™s pedigree, experience or mainstream name value, which makes him all the more valuable to TNA€™s reputation and long term business model than maybe anybody else. Having said that, WWE would almost certainly like to hire Angle for one last run at the top, as well as a possible Hall of Fame induction (which he thoroughly deserves). The state of Kurt€™s health could well scupper any in-ring appearances for WWE, however, which works in TNA€™s favour. Angle making a return to the WWE roster would be a huge blow to TNA, but also a massive boon to the fortunes of the WWE, as the Olympic Gold Medallist was always a hit with WWE fans.

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
