10 Totally Embarrassing WWE On-Air Production Botches

2. NXT's Avast Virus Database Has Been Updated

NXT's current pre-taped format gives the production team the opportunity to edit any noticeable botches out of the footage, but this wasn't the case during the brand's talent show days. NXT switched from TV to a live webcast in October 2010, and one of the daftest on-air production botches in WWE history followed a few weeks later.

AJ Lee was facing Nikki Bella (one of the show's assigned Pros) as part of her trials. There was absolutely nothing special about the match, but things got extremely weird just over a minute into it. Nikki went for a pinfall attempt on AJ, but a phrase familiar to anyone who's ever used a certain free brand of internet security soon rang out, informing the viewers that NXT's "Avast virus database has been updated."

The commentary team took it in jest, with Michael Cole seizing it as an opportunity to bury the match ("well, we're not the only ones bored with this."). The most likely scenario is that a member of the production team accidentally left a computer's audio output connected to the arena's PA system, but it was pretty funny regardless.
