10 Totally Random Makeshift Tag Teams That Surprisingly Ruled

9. High Energy

Although they may have been viewed as a joke to many given their bright baggy pants, chequered suspenders and the fact that they were accompanied to the ring by a parrot, High Energy were favourites of fans who liked their wrestling at a faster pace than what 1992 WWF was usually willing to offer. When Jim Neidhart went down with an injury Owen Hart was left without a partner. Bobby Henan suggested that the colourful Koko B. Ware would be an ideal replacement and, thus, High Energy was born. The team had some cracking matches against The Headshrinkers, Money Inc. and The Nasty Boys. They usually lost those matches. Although they were jobbers, Koko and Owen were entertaining and usually put forth a much bigger effort than a lot of the other members of the roster. They were one of the first truly high-flying tag teams in America and you can see their influence in later tag teams like Paul London and Brian Kendrick. The team split in early 1993 when Owen suffered a knee injury. Owen started his singles career shortly thereafter whilst Koko was used mainly as an enhancement talent before eventually being fired following a backstage fight with a WWF executive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBVaSY73rsk
