10 Totally Random Makeshift Tag Teams That Surprisingly Ruled
8. Jeri-Show
Edge and Chris Jericho were set for a long run as Unified Tag Team Champions in Summer 2009. They were two top heels and their capturing of the belts signalled to many that tag team wrestling was set for a renaissance. Regrettable, Edge suffered a serious achilles tendon injury at a house show just a few days into their reign. At the Nigh Of Champions PPV, Jericho introduced Big Show as Edge's replacement. A lot of fans were let down by the announcement, having hoped that Jericho would pick somebody who was still young in their career and could use the break. But, as Jericho has stated in interviews since, Big Show proved to be the right move. Why wouldn't Jericho's character, the opportunistic, loud-mouth bully pick The Big Show? Of course he's going to go for the biggest, meanest guy he can find. Jericho could then run down his opponents knowing that the giant had his back. The two veterans had chemistry and their act worked like a charm. Jeri-Show made the tag team titles important again. With the titles around the waste of Jericho and Big Show, the likes of Rey Mysterio & Batista and Triple H & Shawn Michaels could challenge for the belts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtTqKeOfQek
