10 Totally Random WWE Royal Rumble Entants

9. The Headhunters

Manuel and Victor Santiago are American born twins with impressive size whom have wrestled all over the world as The Headhunters. Winning titles in Japan's W*NG promotion, IWA and Mexico's CMLL the brothers really hit their stride in the now defunct Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW). FMW was infamous for its death matches and the team excelled carrying the FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Championships wrestling with renowned death match veterans like Cactus Jack, Terry Funk, Hayabusa, Mike Awesome and Super Leather (WWE's Corporal Kirchner). With no storyline and little fanfare The Headhunters debuted in the WWE at the Royal Rumble in 1996 as The Squat Team. They would enter back to back with slots #15 and #16 with 'Squat Teamer 1' lasting 1 minute 11 seconds before being eliminated by Vader and 'Squat Teamer 2' lasting 24 seconds by Yokozuna. This less than stellar outing's only highlight was when the two twins crossed paths as one was entering and the other was leaving. The Headhunters were used to help legitimate Jim Cornette's new monster heel stable which included Yokozuna and Vader, and in that small task they succeeded. Following their appearance in the Royal Rumble the twins left for ECW where they would journey on as enhancement talent losing to the likes of the Dudleys, Bruise Brothers and Gangstas. The Headhunters weren't quite done with the WWE appearing on an episode of Raw in 1997 as the 'Arabian Butchers', henchman of Jim Cornette attacking Owen Hart and the British Bulldog. Since then the two have gone on to have marginal success in Mexico and Juggalo Championship Wrestling. So despite international success in their early career, The Headhunters never got their '15 minutes of fame' in the WWE, in fact they got less than 5, spread across two years with two different gimmicks making their inclusion in the Royal Rumble pretty surprising.
