10 Totally Stupid Things WWE Has ALREADY DONE Since WrestleMania 33

4. The Payback Go-Home RAW

The go-home episode of RAW was threaded with a bizarre narrative through line.

The Miz and Chris Jericho bickered over whose talk show segment should open the show. Dean Ambrose then entered the fray because he has a talk show of his own. This, if you need reminding, was meant to be an episode of a professional wrestling programme. In any event, it was all a set up for Kurt Angle to announce a handicap match main event which, to prove WWE has gone completely backwards, positioned two babyfaces against one heel. That was another swerve; Bray Wyatt revealed himself as The Miz's secret partner only to batter him as well as his opponents. It should be noted at this point that neither The Miz nor Dean Ambrose weren't booked on the pay-per-view card proper, and Chris Jericho was set to face somebody else entirely.

So essentially, Bray Wyatt destroyed The Miz, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho just so he could look strong for his match with Randy Orton at Payback - even though he relied on the assistance of jobber-cum-headliner Jinder Mahal to score the pin on Sunday.

It was as if WCW-era Vince Russo sat down with modern day Vince McMahon and decided to play a game of "Who gives a solitary toss, we already have your Network money".
