Perhaps the most controversial entry on this list, Brian Adams and Bryan Clark began teaming in early 2000 WCW. Clark was coming off the best run of his singles career as Wrath, and Adams was off quite possibly the worst run of his singles career as The Demon, a 'Kiss' inspired gimmick. Both men sported impressive physiques weighing in at nearly 600 lbs and averaging 6 ft 7 in in height. They were booked to be an unstoppable mercenary tag team (similar to another team on this list) famous for "breaking necks and cashing checks." Kronik held the WCW tag team titles twice in the final months of WCW, running over Shane Douglas and Buff Bagwell and the Perfect Event to win them. When WCW was acquired by WWE Kronik would then debut in the promotion as hired muscle to wrestle the Brothers of Destruction at Unforgiven 2001. This match was such a disaster that they would never perform for the WWE again. For their troubles Kronik were voted the worst tag team of the year by the wrestling observer in back to back years. However, Kronik was not done, they began teaming in All Japan in 2002, winning the All Japan Tag Titles from Keiji Mutoh and Taiyo Kea in their very first match. In fact, Kronik would never lose those titles, defending them once and being stripped of them months later for not defending them regularly. With a tenure of under 4 years, and numerous critics why do these two make the top 10 list for toughest tag teams? For starters, they had an impressive physique and were booked very strongly. Additionally, like a few of the teams on this list, Adams and Clark reached the Apex of their respective careers with this gimmick. Adams had floundered as Crush and The Demon and Clark had never reached a high level as Adam Bomb or Wrath so Kronik was an outlet to combine two mediocre forces and package them as a powerful duo. While Kronik may not have had a great work rate or tremendous charisma individually, when they teamed together they transformed into an intimidating force with a devastating Powerbomb/Diving Clothesline finisher called the Total Meltdown. While no one will confuse them with the greatest tag teams of all time, all in all, they were one of the toughest teams of all time who don't quite receive the respect they deserve.
