10 Trades WWE & AEW Must Make In 2024

7. Asuka To AEW

Yes, Asuka has a stable gig in WWE and could continue to dip in and out of the title picture when needed for years to come. She's absolutely one of the most accomplished workers on the roster, and defo ranks as one of the most useful veterans on the female side. However, rather selfishly, this writer fancies seeing her go elsewhere.

Think of what Asuka could do to help younger stars like Skye Blue, Julia Hart, Anna Jay and Willow Nightingale! She'd soar in that 'mother of AEW's women's division' spot. It's also true that the Japanese sensation has nothing else to prove under WWE's umbrella. She's pretty much done it all at this point.

A jump is unlikely, but far from impossible.

For example, did anybody think Edge would flee the WWE nest and set up shop in AEW? That seemed so inconceivable, but it happened. Asuka becoming #AllElite and generously lending her skills to help develop others would be great to see.
