10 True Confessions Of A Pro Wrestling Fan

9. I Switched To WCW When WWE Was Getting Really Hot

Throughout 1998 and most of 1999, I was an avid WWE fan and expressively anti-WCW. Around the summer of 1999, though, I began to get tired of WWE's product. I took more of an interest in WCW, and the first Nitro I ever watched instead of Raw was the October 4 episode, featuring the Owen Hart tribute match between Bret Hart and Chris Benoit. I was hooked, and from that moment on, I started watching Nitro instead of Raw, all the way to WCW's bitter end. So, pretty much everything you can gather from that is true - while WWE was having it's best year ever, with The Radicalz debuting on the scene, Kurt Angle rising up the card, and Triple H and The Rock tearing the house down, I was happily watching Sid as champion, Kronik matches, and loads and loads of Vince Russo. And, to be completely honest, I truly don't regret it.
