10 UFC Fights That Need To Happen In 2020

4. Masvidal Vs. Edwards

If the UFC is looking for a fight that already has a built-in backstory and sells itself, one such fight is Jorge Masvidal vs. Leon Edwards.

After Nate Diaz looked as if he was out of his recent UFC 244 fight against Masvidal, the rumoured replacement for Nate was going to be none other than Leon Edwards. And the reason for this, is down to the very real beef between Gamebred and Edwards.

Both fighters were successful in their respective fights at UFC London this past March, and the two ended up butting heads backstage after Masvidal's KO of Darren Till. Fists were thrown, Edwards was left bloody, and it seemed a given that Masvidal vs. Edwards would be set for later this year.

At this stage, 2019 is obviously a no-go for this fight, but 2020 could finally see this bubbling rivalry exploding in the Octagon. Adding even further flames to this particular fire, Masvidal is #3 and Edwards is #4 in the rankings for a crack at the UFC Welterweight Championship currently held by Kamaru Usman.
