10 UFC Fights That Need To Happen In 2020

3. Khabib Vs. Ferguson

It's hard not to litter this list with fights for Khabib Nurmagomedov, but one fight that cannot be ignored for 2020 is Khabib squaring off against Tony Ferguson.

Having been put off a ludicrous four times for a slew of reasons - the most recent being in April 2018 after Ferguson suffered a freak injury just six days before the fight - there is no reason why these two fan favourite fighters shouldn't step into the Octagon against each other in 2020. By all accounts, the fight could well take place in March or April of 2020, with all parties keen to make this fight official.

While Nurmagomedov has been wowing the MMA world and competing like an unbeatable machine for the past several years, Ferguson has been on his own impressive streak. Since a unanimous decision loss to Michael Johnson in May 2012, El Cucuy has gone on a run that's seen him win 12 fights in a row and position himself as first in line for the next shot at Khabib's UFC Lightweight Championship.

The longer the UFC takes to set an official date for Khabib vs. Ferguson, the more fans are going to wonder if this will be yet another case of this long-demanded fight somehow getting delayed again.
