10 UFC Rivals Who Seriously Can’t Stand Each Other
7. Ken Shamrock And Tito Ortiz
Tito Ortiz was hell bent on making an enemy out of Ken Shamrock. He more than succeeded in the end and UFC fans were treated to one of the most heated rivalries in the combat sport's history.
On numerous occasions, Ortiz went that extra mile in order to light Shamrock's fuse.
There was the time he threw on a 'I just f*cked your ass' t-shirt after beating Shamrock's Lion's Den teammate Jerry Bohlander at UFC 18 and the moment he gave Shamrock the finger after his win over another one of his teammates Guy Mezgar at UFC 19. He also popped on another t-shirt after that victory which had the sentence 'Gay Mezger is my Bitch' printed on it. This all provoked Shamrock into nearly jumping into the cage on the night and battering the 'The Huntington Beach Bad Boy' there and then.
Shamrock couldn't wait to get his hands on the cocky contender and he finally got his chance to teach him a lesson at UFC 40. However, Ortiz would eventually win the fight due to Shamrock's corner throwing in the towel after the third round and went on to win the next two bouts between the pair, too.
Their feud was one of the most important in UFC history and helped catapult the company into the mainstream. But, none of that would have ever happened had the pair not legitimately despised one another throughout their storied careers.
