10 Unbelievable Jobs You Won’t Believe WWE Stars Had

9. Michael Cole Worked As A War Journalist

Even though he's been hit with a Stone Cold Stunner, numerous steel chairs and literally had wrestlers thrown on top of him across the announce desk, Michael Cole won't have experienced danger in WWE like he did when working as a war correspondent for CBS radio.

Before joining the then-WWF in 1997, Cole was posted to Yugoslavia to report on the civil war gripping the country. When he wasn't in legitimate danger of being shot or blown up, the 'Voice Of WWE' covered everything from the Branch Dividian Compound siege in Texas to the Oklahoma City bombing and even Bill Clinton's presidential election campaign.

It's safe to assume Cole is happier in WWE. Things haven't exactly worked out badly for the announcer, have they? Sure, he's been verbally abused by countless performers and smashed with some of WWE's most famous moves, but at least he's not living real-life war.
