Brought in primarily to feud with The Big Boss Man, Kevin Wacholz was cast as 'Nailz', a former inmate during Boss Man's tenure as a corrections officer at Cobb Country jail. It was the kind of perfect early-90's WWF storyline, cartoon-like and simple for all ages to grasp. Playing the role of deranged psychopath to perfection, Wacholz would end up leaving the promotion under extremely unhappy circumstances. In late-1992, apparently unhappy about financial promises which hadn't come to fruition, Nailz attacked McMahon in his office, throwing him over his desk and choking him violently, all the while screaming at the top of his lungs about how much of a liar Vince was. Writing in his book, Bret Hart says he heard the altercation from down the hall, and none of the wrestlers really knew what to do about it. It's pretty hard to imagine this kind of thing happening today, but Wacholz clearly felt he was getting stitched up by the WWF's overseer, and snapped.
