10 Unbelievable Wrestling Fan Theories

8. MVP Was Playing The Long Game

A very optimistic Twitter user dug out a RAW Talk promo from 2020 in which MVP, around the events of Backlash, promised that, when Drew McIntyre lost the WWE Championship, he'd have everything to do with it.

In a post that generated reasonable traffic, WWE's - for f*ck's sake - long-term storytelling was celebrated. MVP did in fact have something to do with it; he orchestrated a plan with The Miz that allowed his charge, Bobby Lashley, to circumvent McIntyre altogether. MVP connived his way into the switch, supporting the theory that WWE maps out a long-term vision and executes it to the ignorance of their critics.

Funny: the wrestling media must be biased, because they didn't pay attention to the foreshadowing!

There's just one issue: Drew McIntyre had already lost the WWE Title to Randy Orton at Hell In A Cell before recapturing it at on RAW shortly thereafter, in a development MVP had nothing to do with whatsoever.

But you're not looking at it deep enough. MVP is three letters. You know what else has three letters? The three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment: RKO.

MVP.

RKO.

'M' is the 13th letter in the alphabet. That's how many World Title reigns Orton had under his belt before MVP booked the match in secret.

We are through the looking glass here, people!
