WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has provided a key update on the chances of WWE legend Mick Foley ever wrestling again. That'll hinge on what doctors have to say, because there are no guarantees that the ex-Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack would even get clearance to work another match.

However, Mick himself is said to be keen on it. What's more, he fancies working his comeback bout vs. MJF in AEW. So, any decision boss Tony Khan makes about booking that can only happen if docs are happy for Foley to step back into the breach for 'one more showdown'.

Fightful did mention Friedman's own eagerness to work with Foley - that's something the reigning AEW World Champion has reportedly been pushing for before the company had even launched Dynamite and hit weekly television in 2019. MJF wants to wrestle Mick too, which helps.

The actual phrasing used to describe Foley's outlook? He's "made his mind up" on trying to wrestle again. The hardcore icon wants to make that a reality in AEW, but there are obviously health concerns. He's 60 years old and has a long, long, long list of injuries to battle against following decades of punishing work.

Don't forget that people thought Mick was cooked way back in 2000 when he worked a retirement gimmick with Triple H at No Way Out. He's worked multiple matches for WWE since then, and even tasted a brief run in TNA.

Foley's last match was a cameo spot in the 2012 Royal Rumble, but he hasn't wrestled a straight up singles showing since facing Ric Flair on the 7 October 2010 episode of TNA iMPACT. Should the clash with MJF happen this year, then it'll be roughly 16 years since his last 1v1.
