10 Unbelievable Wrestling Road Stories (That Actually Happened)

4. Terry Funk Wrestles Ric Flair's Dog

Ric Flair and Terry Funk engaged in one of the most memorable matches in WCW history at The Great American Bash in 1989. Battling for the NWA Championship, the pair constructed one hell of a brawl, memorable for the build-up that saw Funk kayfabe break Flair's neck. Much like many wrestlers that create magic inside the ring together, the pair were good friends away from the spotlight. Enjoying a rare day off, both men were having a round of drinks at Flair's home, before things would turn sour pretty quickly. Incredibly, it wasn't Ric Flair that Terry Funk would end up fighting with, but instead the 'Nature Boy's' dog. Angered that the mutt had bitten him on the nose as he played with him, Funk started chasing it. Returning home from a day out with her own friends, Flair's wife found a passed out Ric inside the house, whilst Terry had a knife between his teeth, chasing the dog in the garden.
