Given the semi-feud that was so heated between Daniel Bryan and Miz in 2016, it's interesting to look at their initial feud in 2010 and realize that even then, these two had great chemistry with each other.

At Night of Champions 2010, Daniel Bryan was just a bland babyface who had recently returned to WWE after necktie-related shenanigans got him fired earlier in the year. Now programmed with The Miz, Bryan had to work from the bottom in terms of getting over. He didn't have the Yes chant, the luxurious beard, or Flight of the Valkyries as his theme music. All he had was his supreme technical ability and an obnoxious heel opponent. Would Bryan be able to get over on those alone? Yes he could.

Bryan and Miz's match was the sleeper hit of an otherwise dire PPV, and Bryan, who came out to a lukewarm reception, was supremely over by the end. Credit also goes to Miz, who showed how he could hang with some of the best in a big match. It's not hard to see how even in 2010, the company brass saw something in him.

Fair warning, however, as this match took place during Michael Cole's heel commentator run, so all of the match is set to Cole's incessant burial of Bryan. Needless to say, it's completely obnoxious.
