On paper, it was easy to sneer at the prospect of Stephanie McMahon stepping into the ring with Trish Stratus because she wasn't happy about Trish dating her dad.

Remember, of course, that Trish was hardly a top-line in-ring commodity at this point in her career, and so this had all the makings of a clumsy dud few would remember fondly.

And while it's certainly not a clinic of technical wrestling, it is ludicrously entertaining as a piece of storytelling.

Sensibly laid out more as a deeply personal brawl than a pure wrestling match, you nevertheless have to give Steph credit for pulling her weight and looking credible against Trish.

There are so many fun moments throughout its mere 8-minute runtime, from Trish getting doused with water to William Regal's hilarious crisis of allegiance, resulting in him aiding both women at various points.

This could so easily have been an absolute mess, but by focusing all its creative energies in the right direction - that is, character work and entertaining extras - it was much better than it really had any right to be.
