For Curt Hennig, The West Texas Rednecks represented the last time it looked like he truly enjoyed himself inside the wrestling ring.

After months of partnering with Barry Windham and winning two WCW Tag Team Championships in the process, Hennig began taking exception to Konnan's love of rap music and almost instantly found himself embroiled in a feud with world-renowned rap star Master P.

Hennig, alongside Barry and Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncam, Jr., were hilariously over-the-top in their criticism of the urban music genre.

They created their own country music video for the song 'Rap is !*$%', Hennig obnoxiously sang his own theme song and the southern crowds rabidly cheered them while booing the brash rappers.

At a time when Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Randy Savage were doing all the wrong things at the top of the card, industry veterans like Hennig and the Windhams were concentrated on making the best out of questionable booking, all the while putting younger stars like Rey Mysterio and Konnan over.
