NXT TakeOver: Dallas took NXT to another level.

It was the best NXT TakeOver yet and took place right before WrestleMania 32, one of the worst Manias in recent memory. Developmental was beginning to surpass the main roster and people were starting to notice.

The opening TakeOver match saw The Revival battle the beloved team of Jason Jordan and Chad Gable - also known as American Alpha. NXT weren't quite at the peak of their tag division yet, but these two teams were among the best in the entire world and they showed it on this night.

Nobody does old school tag team wrestling as well as Dash and Dawson (or Cash and Dax, if you will) and this was the perfect foil for Gable and Jordan's explosive technical offence. The fact that American Alpha had risen up through the ranks and endeared themselves to the NXT audience over months of fantastic segments only helped things.

The ending shots of this match said it all - tears streaming down Jordan's face as he finally captured gold in NXT after such a long wait prove just how much this meant to him and the fans were feeling every single one of his emotions.

Seriously, go watch this right now.
