After Paige left NXT in 2014, a tournament was set up to crown a new NXT Women's Champion. The finals of that tournament took place at the very first TakeOver event and featured two competitors with wrestling in their blood - Natalya Neidhart and Charlotte Flair.

The two women were the perfect match - both came from famous wrestling families, both felt like they had something to prove, and both worked a very technical style that made for some crisp chain offence. Furthermore, the match had the added intrigue of two Hall of Fame cornermen - Ric Flair on the side of his daughter and Bret Hart on the side of his niece.

Both women are naturals in the ring, trading grapples and submissions back and forth, all whilst building to the ultimate question - Sharpshooter or Figure 4? In the end, it was neither, as Charlotte won with Natural Selection, becoming NXT Women's Champion for the first time.

This match was a vital stepping stone in the evolution of women's wrestling in WWE, proving that two females could shine in a big match scenario.
