10 Underrated WWE Attitude Era Matches

7. X-Pac Vs. Jeff Jarrett (SummerSlam 1998)

Neither X-Pac nor Jeff Jarrett made it to the Attitude Era main event - the former because he started getting that famously awful heat, and the latter because he jumped ship to WCW before it really took off (and, to be fair, didn't exactly live to regret it).

In the mid-card, though, these guys were kings in mid-1998, fighting a criminally underrated hair versus hair bout at SummerSlam, which for a short while catapulted Sean Waltman to perhaps the best run of his career.

With out-of-ring high-jinks from Howard Finkel, D-Generation X and Jarrett's "Southern Justice" cronies, this was basically just 10 minutes of pure Attitude Era, the only complaint at which you can throw is the fact that, with the loser high-tailing out, the hair-cutting stipulation wasn't fully adhered to.
