10 Underrated WWE Attitude Era Matches
6. Mankind Vs. Ken Shamrock (Judgement Day 1998)
Seldom has there been a match between two wrestlers with styles as contrasting as Mankind and Shamrock, one of them a brawler who favours weapon shots and the other a former MMA fighter with more holds than Chris Jericho.
That's what made this match such a hoot though: Shamrock, the defending Intercontinental Champion, kept trying to blunt his opponent's offence by working the limbs, but Mankind - one of wrestling's best ever sellers - fought through the pain barrier to keep the fight at a pace that suited him.
In fact, Shamrock, despite his best efforts, couldn't get his never-say-die adversary to tap out, instead relying on a dubious referee call - after Foley gave himself the mandible claw - to keep the title around his waist.
