10 Underrated WWE NXT TakeOver Matches You Need To See
6. Asuka Vs. Emma (London)
After last year's Brooklyn special proved to be such a success, NXT took TakeOver outside of Florida for a second time in December 2015 to London. The rabid fans created an electric environment and the card had the potential to be phenomenal from start to finish.
It was a rare occasion where two women's matches occurred. Bayley defended her NXT Women's Championship against Nia Jax in a solid match and Asuka went up against Emma for the first time ever, and between the two, the latter was the better bout. Asuka had this superstar aura about her when she made her entrance, while it was also amazing to watch Emma's evolution in NXT come full circle from nearly two years earlier.
Dana Brooke made her presence felt throughout the matchup, but even that wasn't enough to phase the Japanese sensation. She seemingly took pleasure in inflicting punishment on Emma by way of her brutal kicks and beautiful-looking suplexes, and to her credit, the Australia native refused to give in so easily.
Once Asuka emerged victorious, it quickly became clear that she had her sights set on the NXT Women's Championship. It was also apparent that night Emma deserved another run on the main roster, and it wasn't long before she resurfaced on Raw.
