10 Underrated WWE Survivor Series Matches You Must Watch

2. Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart (Survivor Series, 1992)

A rivalry that needs no introduction. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels in-ring and backstage exploits are well-documented. Given the attention paid to their late 90s exploits and the Montreal screwjob it's understandable that this one might have slipped through the cracks. It's a very good match and signalled the beginning of the 'new generation' of WWE superstars and the increasing importance of athleticism and work rate, which Michaels and Hart had in spades. 1992 was definitely a transitional year at Titan. Shawn and Bret had a good chess match of a match with Hart coming out on top when he countered a second rope dropkick into a sharpshooter. Bret and Shawn would carry the WWF several years later and this served as a foreshadowing of the great matches that were to come between the two of them.
