10 Underrated WWE Survivor Series Matches You Must Watch

3. Team Savage (Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Ricky Steamboat, Jim Duggan & Brutus Beefcake) vs Team Honky Tonk Man (Harley Race, Ron Bass, Danny Davis, Hercules & The Honkey Tonk Man) - (Survivor Series 1987)

This outing from 1987 is a good example of what the WWF cartoon era was. Savage's team, in particular, is full of the over-the-top characters that came to define wrestling in the 1980s. The Macho Man, The Snake, The Barber and The Dragon ensure that this match is never less than entertaining. Although Honky's team are not quite up to the same standard, the match is very good and is probably not rated as highly as it should be because of the strength of the other matches on the card which tells you just how good this show is. This match also has the distinction of being the first ever traditional survivor series tag match. The match ended with the faces getting revenge on the annoying Honky Tonk Man causing the Intercontintental champion to run away.
